The Golden Girls Fashion Corner is a blog about the fabulous fashions of the iconic TV series, The Golden Girls. I discuss and analyze the clothes and accessories worn by Dorothy, Sophia, Blanche, and Rose throughout the series. I also frequently use the definition of fashion in the broad sense to delve into other surrounding topics. My goal is always to show why The Golden Girls was such a groundbreaking show and how it continues to relate to the present day.
In case you’re wondering, the title of this blog was inspired by Casual Corner, a women’s fashion store that was popular in American malls and somewhere I imagine the girls may have shopped from time to time (although I’m sure Blanche would tell you that Petite Sophisticate was more her style).
If you want to know a bit more about me, by day I’m a librarian at a university and by night I hang out with my husband, daughter, and cats. I enjoy singing, baking, making jewelry, cross stitching, writing letters, and watching old movies. You can find me on Twitter @clairebearian.
The Golden Girls Fashion Corner has been featured on the Wall Street Journal, Swedish National Radio, and the Enough Wicker podcast.
