Picture it: a Golden Girls gift shop, 2024… A gleaming storefront that gives way to an interior filled with every piece of Golden Girls merchandise that your pocketbook can afford! Ok, so it doesn’t exist, but after five years of putting together these holiday gift guides I’m truly surprised that someone hasn’t opened one in real life! From officially licensed to independently created items, there’s more than enough merchandise to fill a store. So I thought I’d have a little fun with the AI image generators that have been all the rage this year to see what a gift shop dedicated to the Girls might look like:
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Ok, some of the shelves are a little wonky and I’m not sure why AI thinks that the inventory for a Golden Girls gift shop would be 90% picture frames (must be a friend of Blanche’s), but I think it’s on the right track! I love the overall color scheme and the photographic accent wall! It would be so fun to have an area of the store with a rotating display recreating scenes and sets from the show. Anyway, I thought I might have a little trouble finding enough stuff for this year’s gift guide, but I was quickly proven wrong. So much so that I’ve organized everything into categories for your shopping convenience! So grab a pen and a notepad and a slice of cheesecake while you make a list for every Golden Girls fan in your life. Calendars
It’s a personal tradition to start my gift guides with the calendars! This full-size wall calendar is beautifully designed and features multiple photos and quotes from the show.
And here’s the ladies’ petite version! I have no way of knowing if the trivia questions in this year’s desktop calendar are the same or different from past years, but I do love how they’ve jazzed up the pages this time! The addition of the classic Golden Girls font is also a nice touch.

Isn’t Danny Thomas one? Every day’s a Pride parade with this hilarious tank top featuring Dorothy’s iconic comeback from the Isn’t It Romantic episode!
You gotta love Kohl’s for getting on the bandwagon and finally making some GG shirts in girls’ sizes for all the younger fans of the show! I love this 90s, kind of Saved by the Bell design, and I might have to see if I can squeeze myself into an XL…
I also love the retro vibes of this shirt, and since I’m a big fan of The Outsiders and the Robert Frost poem (if you know, you know!!!) that it features I just had to include this one. Spoiler alert: I already ordered it for myself!
Now this is truly a necklace fit for St. Olaf’s Woman of the Year! I especially love all of the references to the show that are included in the charms (the tractor is killing me!), and of course the portrait of Rose. This is a truly unique piece of art for only the most devoted fans of the show.

The Way We Met Little Golden Book
A couple of years ago we got the My Little Golden Book About Betty White, and next up is one based on episode 25 from the first season of The Golden Girls. The publication date is January 2, 2024, so pre-order it now and surprise yourself later! This is such a great gift for all the little Oreos in your life, too.

You may think you know all there is to know about The Golden Girls, but trust me when I say that you’re in for a real treat with Bernadette’s book! Oh, and the featured Library Journal review on Amazon was written by yours truly. I promise you’ll love this enlightening history of the show, and you definitely won’t need a Dramamine to get through chapter three.
If you give a Golden Girls fan a bookmark then of course she’s going to need a bookmark to go with it, and this one definitely fits the bill.

I love the style of these cards! It’s so different from everything else that’s out there and reminds me a lot of the Aquarian tarot deck. Grab a deck and a nun costume for a couple of rounds of poker!
I don’t know a thing about how you would actually play a game with these, but since The Golden Girls served as the template for the ideal adventuring party during the creation of the second edition of Dungeons & Dragons in the 1980s then my guess is that this set will fulfill all of your D&D dreams.
